Hi
John,
To associate
BMP files with Photoshop instead of Paint , do the following
activities:
- In
explorer, click on view/options/file
types
You should
get a window that looks like this:
- Scroll
down until you see Bitmap image and click
on it so as to make it the current selection:
- Click
on
![](wedit.gif)
you will
see this:
- then change
the association by clicking open then
![](wedit.gif)
- then browse
to the correct program (in this example, i use PaintShop
Pro)
![](w6.gif)
- Click
on
, then
select your program using the browse box keys:
- Click
Then
your Browse dialog will look like this:
- Click
to make
it so![](picard.gif)
- Click
on
,
then again
and you are back in explorer , ready to open BMPS with
your program of choice..

Mike -
Using
Explorer, when I double click on a graphic, the graphic opens
in Paint, which sucks. How can I make it open in
Photoshop?
